Fiscal Year Ended June 30th 2025 & Budget Fiscal Year 2026 Commentary

Parish financial results for last year improved from prior year. Revenue increased 13% primarily due to increased parish registrations. Offertory accounted for 91% of Revenue; the same percentage as the previous fiscal year. Expenses increased from prior year, explained by increases in Ministry & Liturgy, e.g., Faith Formation, Youth Ministry, etc. Overall, Fiscal Year 2025 net operating surplus was three times Fiscal Year 2024. This surplus will help the parish cover any future unanticipated expenses, such as weather related expenses.

The ongoing RfOH campaign progressed with fund receipts paying for improved campus-wide security, parish office and rectory renovations. Current remaining and future anticipated receipts indicate that all included projects (e.g., Adoration Chapel, Activities Center kitchen) should be fully funded at the expiration of the campaign, which is January 23, 2027.

The Fiscal Year 2026 budget projects Revenue flat due to a decline in tenancies and conservative planning of offertory contributions in response to local economic conditions. Expenses increase primarily because of added personnel, continued investment in the growing Faith Formation program, and increased insurance costs. The 2025 net operating surplus is not planned to recur in 2026.

Thanks very much to all parishioners and visitors for increased support and participation in parish life. We appreciate your ongoing support as San Pedro ministers to a growing, engaged, vibrant Catholic community.
